Founder & Executive Director
Born and raised in North Town Las Vegas, Phoenyx B. is a Licensed Master Social Worker, advocate, and community leader dedicated to creating lasting change for underserved populations. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges facing her community, she founded Let's Play Advocacy Group with a vision of putting the care of the community back into the hands of the community.
Phoenyx's work focuses on education, behavioral health, housing stability, justice-involved individuals, veterans, and community empowerment. She believes that while strong community values built previous generations, today's challenges require both traditional and innovative approaches to create meaningful solutions. Her philosophy embraces both orthodox and unorthodox methods to meet people where they are and help them achieve lasting success.
Her passion is deeply personal. As both a professional and a mother, Phoenyx has experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating educational, behavioral health, social service, and legal systems on behalf of her own children and family members. These experiences have reinforced her belief that many systems are difficult to navigate, often leaving individuals and families without the support they need. They have also strengthened her commitment to ensuring that future generations, including her own sons have access to opportunities, advocacy, and resources that promote success rather than create additional barriers.
Professionally, Phoenyx works across multiple systems, collaborating with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County Detention Center, North Valley Complex, Nevada's state psychiatric hospital, and community-based organizations to support individuals facing behavioral health, legal, and social challenges. She is also pursuing a Doctor of Public Policy (DPP) degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, further strengthening her commitment to advocacy, policy reform, and community-driven solutions.
Through Let's Play Advocacy Group, Phoenyx is committed to restoring hope, creating opportunity, and helping future generations build stronger, healthier, and more self-sustaining communities.
